Toyota launches service campaign for Land Cruisers

TOYOTA Motor Philippines (TMP) is conducting a special service campaign for select Toyota Land Cruiser models to address a transmission system issue, the automaker and the Department of Trade and Industry announced in separate advisories on Friday.

The special service campaign will cover 3,847 Toyota LC300s built between Nov. 22, 2024, and Dec. 5, 2025.

TMP said on its website that the service campaign would involve reprogramming the transmission electronic control unit (ECU) on the Toyota LC300.

In its advisory, the DTI warned that under certain driving conditions, the transmission system of the said vehicle may not properly detect or communicate a potential issue.

“This may cause overrevving in certain gears, possible loss of power at higher speeds, and in rare cases, transmission fluid leakage, which may pose a fire risk,” the DTI said.

“TMP will provide a free transmission ECU reprogramming for affected vehicles.”

Affected vehicle owners will be notified through official communication and are advised to immediately coordinate with any authorized Toyota dealer to schedule the necessary service.

TMP added that the service campaign was part of its corporate commitment to product safety and quality.
