MAYVILLE – The MayPort-CG School Board on Monday approved its academic calendar for the 2026-27 school year and discussed whether the board may need to tweak its one-to-one technology initiative that provides every student in the district a school-issued laptop or tablet.
Superintendent Mike Bradner said next year’s calendar will be comparable to previous ones adopted by the board in terms of its starting and ending dates.
Under the approved calendar, MayPort-CG’s fall classes will start Aug. 19 and wrap up May 18, 2027 with graduation to follow May 23 – eight days prior to Memorial Day. Holiday break will run Dec. 23 through Jan. 3 with students returning to school the following day.
Bradner said previously that the calendar would mark the first time in recent memory that MPCG will hold its graduation ceremonies separate from Memorial Day weekend.
