OKLAHOMA CITY –
Metro Technology Centers will host its 2026 Black History Month celebration, Black History, Western Legacy, at the Metro Tech Conference Center.
The event, scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is free and open to the public.
The theme highlights the rich contributions of Black cowboys, cowgirls, pioneers, and trailblazers who helped shape the American West, while also recognizing the leaders and innovators carrying that legacy forward today. The celebration is designed to foster education, empowerment, and community connection.
Attendees can expect live performances, guest speakers, interactive activities, local Black-owned businesses, and community resource organizations.
The event provides opportunities for students, staff, and community members to engage in educational programming, explore workforce resources, and support local entrepreneurs.
