Cargo Ship Collision with Fishing Boat off Japan Kills 2

JAPAN – A cargo ship collision with fishing boat off Japanese waters killed 2 people, according to the Coast Guard on Friday.

The Coast Guard said two people were found “unresponsive” following the collision off Mie province in central Japan, according to Kyodo News.

At least 13 people were aboard the fishing boat, which split into two upon impact.

Authorities said 10 people were injured, and one person who had been reported missing was later rescued.
