Title-defending, top-seeded Passaic Tech lived up to their resume and then some on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs pitched a shutout to again claim the championship in the NJSIAA/IBEW North 1, Group 5 Local 102 State Wrestling Team Tournament with a 59-0 win over third-seeded Livingston in Wayne.
The win gave Passaic Tech their second straight title in three consecutive finals appearances.
Passaic Tech (19-11) racked up eight bonus points en route to the dominant win.
Erick Montiel (215), Tyler Whartnaby (157), Muhammad Abuhadba (126) and Talan Mangasi (132) all won by fall while 106-pounder Nicholas Nguyen recorded a 20-3 tech fall win over Alexander Silverman.
Hector Rodriguez earned a 21-7 major at 190 over Ryan Ross, Nicholas Maldonado earned a 10-0 major over Christopher Belcuore at 165 and at 150 Mohammad Rabah beat Mitchell Snow via 12-0 major decision.
Marco Barra outlasted Andrew Strulson for a 6-3 decision win at 113. David Tenelma recorded a 4-0 decision win over James Bonardi at 120. At 144, Malik Abuharthieh bested Joseph DeCorso via 11-5 decision. Muntaser Atyieh earned three points at 175 with a 10-3 decision win over Matt Steinert and at heavyweight Anderson Tavarez recorded a 7-1 decision win over Muhammed Ardahanli.
Rayan Mohammad kept the shutout intact by taking a 7-4 sudden victory win over Noah Pantaleon at 138.
