By the end of 2025, the FESCO Transport Group (“FESCO”, part of the management contour of the Rosatom State Corporation) increased the volume of shipments by the FESCO Baltorient Line (FBOL) regular sea service connecting St. Petersburg with the ports of China and India by 12%, to more than 84 thousand TEU.

Including import shipments exceeded 50,000 TEU, which is 10% more than the year before last. The main cargo flow was formed due to a wide range of consumer and industrial goods.

Export shipments from St. Petersburg to the ports of China and India reached about 34,000 TEU during the reporting period, showing an increase of 12% compared to 2024. Traditionally, products from the timber industry and pulp and paper mills, construction materials, as well as agricultural and industrial goods from Russia have taken a significant share in the export structure.

During the year, FBOL vessels performed 26 voyages, departing on a route with a frequency of once every two weeks.

Six container ships of the same type with a capacity of 2,471 TEU each continue to operate on the line. Starting in May 2025, as part of the service, FESCO also began performing direct ship calls to the Vietnamese port of Ho Chi Minh City, depending on the needs of customers for cargo delivery from Southeast Asian countries or in the opposite direction. In addition, in August and September last year, FBOL vessels made their first calls at the port of Baltiysk in the Kaliningrad region.

FESCO launched the FBOL maritime service in 2023, becoming the first Russian transport company to launch transportation between the ports of China, India and St. Petersburg via the Suez Canal using its own assets and without calling at European ports. The route of the line covers the key Chinese ports of Qingdao, Lianyungang, Dalian, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantan, the Indian ports of Mundra and Navasheva, as well as Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, the FBOL service is connected to ports in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Korea via a feeder service.
