ALTON – Caiden Jockisch, a junior at Marquette Catholic High School, recently achieved a significant milestone in his hockey career by recording his 1,000th varsity save during Alton’s hockey team’s recent game. The achievement highlights Jockisch’s dedication and skill as a goaltender for his school’s hockey team.
Jockisch has been playing hockey for nine years and credits the sport for teaching him the value of teamwork.
“It has taught me how to be a team player,” he said.
In addition to hockey, he also plays first base on the Marquette Catholic baseball team, showcasing his athletic versatility.

Jockisch is a Tucker’s Automotive Repair & Tire Male Athlete of the Month for Marquette Catholic.
His accomplishments include winning the Blue Note Cup with his club hockey team last year.
Jockisch expressed gratitude to his parents, Chris and Amanda, for their unwavering support and for driving him to all his games and practices.
Looking ahead, Jockisch plans to continue his hockey career at Lewis and Clark College. He also shared his ambition to pursue a career in law enforcement.
