St. Louis joins IAG Cargo network in summer expansion

IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has announced the launch of a new route between London Heathrow (LHR) and Missouri’s St. Louis (STL) as part of its upgraded summer 2026 schedule.

The new four-times-weekly service (the only direct connection between LHR and the Midwest hub) will start on April 19, and marks IAG Cargo’s 27th US destination.

IAG Cargo said the new route will offer freight forwarders faster, more efficient access to key manufacturing and aerospace supply chains.

Running from April through to October 2026, IAG Cargo’s summer schedule will also see frequencies between London increase across key US gateways, including Chicago (ORD) and Washington Dulles (IAD) which will both grow from 14 to 21 flights per week.

Meanwhile, services to San Diego (SAN) and Austin (AUS) will double from seven to 14 flights per week.

Elsewhere, IAG Cargo said it is also strengthening capacity between LHR and Madrid – then on to San Francisco (SFO), between LHR and Tokyo Haneda (increasing to double daily), and LHR and Vancouver (YVR) will grow from seven to 10 flights per week, rising further to 14 weekly flights during July and August.

Camilo Garcia Cervera, chief sales and marketing officer, IAG Cargo, said: “This summer schedule is focused on giving freight forwarding partners greater choice and flexibility across key global trade lanes.

“The addition of St. Louis opens up important access into the US Midwest, while increased frequencies across North America, expanded connectivity via Madrid and additional capacity to Haneda and Canada ensure we can support a wide range of time-critical and high-value shipments.”
