PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Panthers (15-5, 3-2) evened their series against No. 3 ranked Georgia Tech (18-5, 5-3) with a back-and-forth 14-9 win Saturday afternoon.

Pitt showed resilience at the plate and on the mound all afternoon. Any time the Yellow Jackets scored in the first four innings, the Panthers responded with runs of their own. Eddie Smink delivered another gutsy performance in relief, throwing three scoreless innings to close out Saturday’s game and earn his first save of the season.
