Batavia schools tops at GLOW Tech Wars

Genesee Community College proudly welcomed GLOW region middle and high school technology teachers from 23 schools and over 700 students to compete and showcase their work and projects at the 17th annual Tech Wars. Teachers and students work all year for the culminating event. All individual events are created and coordinated by the GLOW region technology teachers and supported by the ACE Department at GCC, GCC staff and many local and loyal businesses who graciously sponsor the event and join in the day.

Tech Wars is the culmination of a year’s worth of preparation by students and educators, with each event carefully crafted and coordinated by the dedicated technology teachers of the GLOW region. The event receives significant support from GCC’s Accelerated College Enrollment (ACE) Department, GCC faculty and staff, as well as many generous local businesses that sponsor the competition and actively participate in the day’s activities.

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, the 17th Annual Tech Wars organizing committee was able to offer two $350 scholarships this year!

To be eligible to apply, the student must be a Senior from a participating GLOW Region school district who has successfully competed in at least one year of Tech Wars and is planning to move on to a career or apprenticeship or attend a post-secondary institution in a technology or related field or program.
