Honda 0 Alpha SUV Interior Spied Ahead of India Launch

Honda has commenced pan-India road testing of the 0 Alpha SUV, which is expected to launch in India by 2027. The upcoming Honda EV is expected to be offered with two battery options.

The new 0 Series by the Japanese automaker is one of its most ambitious projects,  which made its debut last year at CES (Consumer Electronics Show). While two Honda 0 Series EVs, the SUV and the Saloon, have been cancelled for the global market, the plans for India are still strong, with the 0 Alpha already undergoing testing. Now, spy images of the India-bound 0 Alpha’s interior have surfaced online, giving a brief glimpse of what to expect in terms of features. Here’s everything you need to know.

The most recent spy shots gave us the first look at the interior, which was undisclosed even when the 0 Alpha concept made its debut at the Japan Mobility Show. Although the test mule’s cabin is heavily camouflaged, a few elements, such as a hexagonal steering wheel and an auto-dimming IRVM, can be seen. The uniquely shaped steering has flat edges and a new Honda badge. It seems to integrate multiple controls finished in piano black. You can also notice paddle shifters are behind it.

The dashboard layout hints at a large touchscreen infotainment system, showing Honda’s focus on making its first-ever EV heavily tech-focused. Honda has highlighted that the model will follow its ‘Thin’ design philosophy, which focuses on ensuring a sleek exterior with a roomy and feature-rich interior. Some of the expected features are ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a large infotainment display.

The production-ready version of the Honda 0 Alpha is likely to carry forward most of the design cues from its concept form. Key elements could include a sleek, screen-like front fascia integrating slim LED elements, an illuminated Honda badge, and a neatly positioned charging port.

The front bumper design is likely to flow into the rugged body cladding, complemented by sculpted wheel arches and aero-optimised alloy wheels. At the rear, a U-shaped LED strip could tie together multiple lighting elements. Unlike the bigger 0 SUV, the Alpha will be a compact model.
