TULSA, Okla. –
Strong storms caused damage at the Tulsa Tech campus and several nearby homes in north Tulsa, leaving downed trees, damaged fences and parts of a building roof torn away.
Severe storms caused widespread damage early Saturday near 36th Street North and Peoria in north Tulsa.
At the Tulsa Tech campus, crews found broken tree limbs, damaged fencing and pieces of insulation scattered across the grounds after parts of a building roof were torn away. At least one light pole was snapped in half, and glass was blown out at the entrance to one of the buildings.
Video from the scene also showed damage inside the building, where tables were overturned and broken glass covered parts of the floor.
The Tulsa Flyer captured images of the damage inside the building. You can see their story here: tulsaflyer.org/2026/03/07/news/post/storm-damage-tulsa-tech-peoria-campus/
Law enforcement and cleanup crews were on site assessing the damage while taking precautions because of concerns about the building’s structural integrity.
Damage was also reported at several homes along North Lansing Place in the same area. Much of the residential damage involved downed trees and broken fences.
Crews continued working to assess the extent of the damage and begin cleanup.
