IAG Cargo has introduced a dedicated Aircraft on Ground (AOG) service to support the urgent transport of aircraft parts when operational disruptions ground aircraft.
Launched globally on 25 February 2026, the product is designed to minimise downtime and protect airline schedule integrity by accelerating the recovery process. The service leverages IAG Cargo’s network of more than 250 destinations, with strategic proximity to major manufacturing and MRO hubs across Europe and North America.
Key features include:
- 24/7 specialist AOG teams providing rapid shipment triage
- Real-time status updates for critical consignments
- Priority handling across the carrier’s global network
- Dedicated operational oversight for time-sensitive parts
The launch aligns with growing demand for fast-response aviation logistics. The global AOG logistics market was valued at USD 3.14 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 4.16 billion by 2032, driven by rising air traffic volumes, ageing fleets, and leaner airline inventory models that reduce spare-parts stockholding.
The new AOG product strengthens IAG Cargo’s premium portfolio and positions the carrier to capture a larger share of the time-critical aviation logistics segment.
