Dhoot Transmission partners FourFront, to merge it with subsidiary to bolster automotive electronics platform

Electronics maker Dhoot Transmission Tuesday announced a strategic partnership with FourFront, under which the latter will merge with one of Dhoot’s subsidiaries to strengthen its automotive electronics and electrical platform.

Headquartered in Pune, FourFront is a Tier-1 supplier of customized electro-mechanical and electronic solutions to leading Passenger Vehicle (PV) and Commercial Vehicle (CV) original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in India. The company’s portfolio spans electromechanical switches, power electronics products and electric vehicle (EV) solutions.

Following the merger, FourFront will become part of Dhoot Transmission’s integrated automotive platform, combining complementary product capabilities, manufacturing depth and established OEM relationships. The move is aimed at addressing rising electronics content in vehicles and accelerating electrification trends across the automotive sector.

Rahul Dhoot, Managing Director of Dhoot Transmission Group, said the partnership aligns with the company’s strategy of building a differentiated automotive platform with strong electronics and electrical systems capabilities. He added FourFront’s expertise in power electronics and long-standing OEM relationships would enhance the group’s ability to deliver quality and scale.

Bain Capital will continue to support both companies, leveraging its global automotive experience to help scale operations, deepen OEM partnerships and drive operational excellence.
